Celebrating the Life of Stephen A. Lasher

It is with great sadness that we communicate the death of our Founder, Partner and dear friend, Stephen A. Lasher. Steve passed away on August 1 after a long and extremely brave battle with cancer.

It is virtually impossible to appropriately communicate Steve’s impact and influence on our Firm and on all of the professionals that have been fortunate to be here in his presence over the last 30 plus years. Steve was an extraordinary businessman who had a unique ability to combine sheer intellect with thoughtfulness, sincerity and a remarkable sense of fairness. He was a mentor with an uncanny ability to impart wisdom with profound accuracy and impeccable timing. Steve was the best possible definition of a friend, with a keen sense of humor, unparalleled generosity and a perpetually open door. He was shockingly humble in light of a long list of personal and professional accomplishments. 

Most importantly, Steve was a loving husband, deeply devoted father, beamingly proud grandfather and an unequivocally kind soul. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family at this incredibly difficult time. 

As we confront the sadness that comes with the loss of such a meaningful human being, we also desire to celebrate a truly exceptional life – and do so with the deepest gratitude for the blessing and the privilege of knowing such a fine man.
