Beall-Ladymon Corporation
Based in Shreveport, Beall-Ladymon was founded in 1951 by W. F. Beall and Raymond C. Ladymon, who opened stores in five North Louisiana locations. By 1953, the company had expanded to thirteen outlets in Arkansas. In 1992, the company began consolidating and was sold to Specialty Retailers, Inc., of Houston, Texas in 1994. The former Beall-Ladymon outlets then began operating under the name Stage Stores, Inc.
